The Bullard Area Chamber of Commerce recently initiated the planning stage of committee forming for the city’s annual Red, White & Blue Festival, and is currently seeking more volunteers.
Chamber President John Beasley said although all positions on the committee have been filled, each section of the committee will have a sub-committee, needing roughly 10-12 volunteers for each, including the carnival, car show, advertisement and fundraising.
Mistie Campbell will serve as the committee’s chairperson this year. Annecye Beasley will be in charge of the advertising and will serve as the communications coordinator. John Smith will be in charge of the car show, while John Beasley will be arranging the carnival.
Children events will be handled by Lydnsey Hailey and Jack Wheeler, while David Fritsche will organize the food vendors. Karen Vaughn will be taking on the fundraising, the music will be arranged by Mike Alexander, and the parade will be handled by Ryan Sadler. Melissa Duncan will handle performance, Kristen Miles will handle vendor booths, and Michelle Cunningham will take on veteran’s events.
Other chamber committees include the annual banquet, the Christmas event, the economic development committee, the budget committee, the community development committee, the membership committee, the communications/publicity/marketing committee, the building committee and the hospitality committee.
